First place is a must for my sweet tooth food lovers. The sesames seed bun stuffed with different types of xoi. Loaded with peanut, sugar, and coconut, this warm sweet, treat will make a morning person out of anybody.
Cannot come to Da Lat without trying banh mi xiu mai. This rich fatty broth loaded with cha cay and tender xiu mai make for the perfect thing to stuff inside Da Lat's perfectly crispy banh mi.
Speaking of banh mi, you will want to eat as many as you can while in Da Lat. This place does one of the best banh mi’s I have had in Vietnam. Maybe it is the butter, or the perfect balance of all the ingredients. The way that they all work in harmony.
Chicken and Da Lat, you can’t talk about one without mentioning the other. And for good reason. I am not sure what they are doing to the chickens in Da Lat, but some reason they are the most flavor chickens you will ever have in your life. Da Lats cold weather makes for the perfect place to have a hot pot. Load in that chicken, mushrooms, bamboo, and lemon basil for an ultimate hot pot experience.
