Chiang Mai, THAILAND: Thai food, day and night markets

2020-12-15
Chiang Mai, Thailand is a great city to experience the street markets and try the fantastic Thai food. In this video, you'll see the area close to the Ping river, where there are many daytime markets. We visit the Warorot Market, then cross the river to try a delicious khao soi, probably the most famous dish in northern Thailand. Khao soi is a soup-like dish very common in the Chang Mai region, but not so easy to find in Thai restaurants abroad. So it can't be missed when you travel to Thailand. At night we visit various night markets, starting with the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. As the largest city in northern Thailand, Chiang Mai is a must for anyone traveling to the country for tourism. It was founded in 1296, and it's the capital of Chiang Mai Province. The name means "New City" in Thai. That's because back then, it became the new capital of the Lanna kingdom (an ancient kingdom that existed in the area). The city was also very important historically. It's strategically located on the Ping River (a major tributary of the Chao Phraya River) and close to major trading routes. - Watch this series in Thailand from the beginning 👇 Complete Thailand travel guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiWGVAgS9E0&list=PLUt18OGs5Ho4DkBrCsx81qJQT8JA_8LO2 - All videos in SE Asia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjLkMA5uuVs&list=PLUt18OGs5Ho5QK63ovLmaY3L3WUZtFvw- #RenataInThailand #RenataInChiangMai #RenataInAsia #RenataInSoutheastAsia --- SUBSCRIBE to discover the world with us ► http://bit.ly/Renata_YouTube --- This vlog in Chiang Mai, Thailand, is all about the food 😋 00:00 - Teaser 00:53 - Warorot Market 04:53 - Ping river 06:09 - Khao soi 09:03 - Night Bazaar and Anusarn Market 10:20 - Ploen Ruedee Night Market 11:26 - Saturday Night Market 12:28 - Bloopers 😁😆😅😂🤣 ✔️ Our main equipment: - Gordon's camera: https://amzn.to/3k4uZta - Gordon's main lens: https://amzn.to/2EK0wQP - My main camera in this vlog: https://amzn.to/2VoduJf - Drone: https://amzn.to/39PlVU1 - Microphone: https://amzn.to/2EJr1pz We tend to use different cameras in different videos, depending on the type of video and filming conditions. I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also, to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life! P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time. 😉 --- NEW VIDEO ►►► https://goo.gl/rhM6Pw ---
